Diabetes is one of the most widespread illnesses in the West. But with the proper care and the right equipment it is also one of the easiest to treat.

Diabetes happens when the body fails to transform sugars and other foods into the energy that it requires to function healthily. This can cause abnormal sugar levels in the blood, which can , potentially, be dangerous. Diabetes is caused by the body’s inability to make, or react normally to, the hormone insulin.

A whopping 7.8% of the United States’ population has diabetes – that’s 23.6 million men, women and children across the nation. What is more, it is believed that almost 25% of this number are unaware of their condition.

As of yet, there is no cure for diabetes, but, thankfully, it is easy to treat using medical insulin. A healthy lifestyle is also essential. No smoking, no alcohol and eating well can all help stop complications related to the illness.

It is important that diabetics regularly check their blood sugar levels with a device called a glucometer. This is a compact tool that allows you to test the concentration of glucose in your blood and tells you whether your blood sugar levels are too high, too low, or in the right range.

Because of their small size and portability, glucometers can be used just about anywhere. Monitoring your blood sugar level with a glucometer involves placing a tiny droplet of blood on a custom made test strip. Your glucometer should provide you with an accurate blood sugar reading in seconds and you can act accordingly.

Glucometers normally have a small display which shows the levels of glucose in your blood. In addition, they will record the day and time, and store past results to help you and your doctor monitor your illness.

The glucometers themselves are not very pricey. In fact, some producers supply them for no cost. The glucometer test strips, however, can be pricey. They vary in price from around 35 cents to $1. Some diabetics may use more than 10 test strips a day, so the costs can quickly mount.

When choosing the a glucometer to help you manage your illness there are a a number of things that you should keep in mind. For example:

* How big is the glucometer? * The size of the testing strips * The cost of the glucometer * The cost of testing strips * How fast it returns test results * The amount of blood needed for a test * The unit’s storage and data capabilities * The quality of the unit’s display

Regular blood tests with a glucometer help prevent a lot of the complications associated with diabetes, including eye, heart and kidney complications. Monitoring the sugar levels in your blood also helps you see how effective your medicines are in treating your diabetes, and, most importantly of all, guards against life-threatening emergencies.

Times were when being diagnosed with diabetes was the end of the world though today, however with great advances in technology and medical science there is less reason to be worried as there are a number of different diabetes treatments to take care of the problem including taking medications while it is also possible to do without them. However, once you are diagnosed with diabetes you should immediately consult with a doctor who will then prescribe the best diabetes treatment for your particular case.

Though it is feasible to take diabetes treatment without turning to medicines and injections, the final straw would be the sort of diabetes that affects you and its causes as well as your present state of being. Among the other diabetes treatments that you need to think about using is performing lots of exercise while chalking out a correct diet has additionally proved to be extraordinarily effective.

Since you form certain habits that are a result of your diet and fitness program, this is one great way of improving your diabetes problem as it helps to reduce the chance of complications while also brings blood sugar levels to controllable levels. And, if that isn’t really enough, this sort of diabetes treatment can also help in forestalling the illness under certain circumstances.

Diet is indeed a very effective diabetes treatment which means changing your lifestyle in order to bring elevated blood sugar levels down to normal, and it will prevent you from suffering from other complications as well. In fact, obesity is among the leading causes of becoming a diabetic, which requires losing weight so that it will help you become less of a diabetic, figuratively speaking.

When you consider diet as your method of diabetes treatment, you must only take a meal that has less of sugar and also as little of saturated fat as is possible, and eat more of fibrous content that is much healthier. Another aspect to diet as your method of diabetes treatment is being consistent with your diet which requires eating the same amount of calories during the day which will thus not cause any problems with blood sugar and keep it in the normal range as well.

But, diet alone won’t be enough as your diabetes treatment, and it has got to be accompanied with correct exercise that will perform miracles for your diabetes condition. In truth, you need to make it a point to exercise thrice in a week for approximately twenty minutes for each exercise which should do you well, and jogging and also walking is also advantageous to your contentment.

Other diabetes treatments that you might also think about for your diabetes condition are using medicines or insulin injections though you may also observe your blood sugar at regular intervals so you can control the dosage. The base line is you need to take all of these needed steps to make sure that your diabetes treatment provides you with maximum benefits.

by Brian V Shortt

As you sit at this time in a world of despair, reading, researching, contemplating, and day-dreaming that you can spend the remainder of your life with no diabetes; you are hopeful that for just one second the answer to your prayers could be found in a single article, in just one sentence, without the confusion of overwhelming information.

Paralysis by analysis as they say.

Once upon a time, in a galaxy far far away, here was a man who had been diagnosed with an not curable disease: Diabetes. It wasn’t before his 25th birthday when he started his new life as a prisoner of his own body, always having to babysit his blood sugar, blood pressure, inject himself with insulin, and sacrifice his utmost weakness: Food.

The doctors had insisted that there was nothing he may possibly do, there was no cure for diabetes, and that he should remain dependent upon the drugs in which he must purchase. All over the country he searched for a second, third, fourth, fifth opinion – only for his greatest hopes to become a distant memory into the back of his head, and to be lost forever into the newly developed void in his heart.

He researched day and night, night and day. His passion was that of a lion, and his mind was that of a scholar.

Subsequently it finally hit him, something to simple, so divine, that could cure his diabetes for good without the aid of foreign substances, naturally. After a year of experimentation he had conclusively discovered something that would rock the world! (Or at least the U.S.). He demanded that he be re-diagnosed against the doctors will, best judgment, and directive.

Astonished, the doctors were astounded. It took hours for the doctors to consult other physicians and to finally reach a conclusion that had went contrary to the established notion of medical science. Insulin levels were normal, and high glucose levels were non existent. This patient was absent of Diabetes Mellitus.

The treatment he received was all natural, inexpensive, painless, and worked like a miracle! He was so excited that he can share with his doctors about the treatment that cured his diabetes. Certainly these men and women would want to know about an all-natural medical treatment that could cure the incurable!

To his astonishment they refused to believe that he had been properly diagnosed, much less that at hand was a true and natural cure for diabetes.

At this moment I would like to thank FTC, FDA, Pharmaceutical companies, etc. For their personal attacks on citizens with this information. They have aided the corruption of the power structures and misled health professionals into the needless agony of millions of innocent people by suppressing this kind of information.

With that said.

What would you say if I told you that there are 2 natural cures for diabetes that are so simple a caveman can do it?

Believe it or not, diabetes can be cured naturally by only two things.

1.) Diet

2.) Exercise

It’s so easy that no one wants to believe it! It’s like trying to assure someone that the world is round, since they just simply don’t want to put forth the effort to banish their problems, and would rather just take a pill.

In that sense, medical science is your best bet. It’s definitely true that there are no pills in existence yet that could reverse the effects of diabetes; but its also true that by making major changes in your habits you can reverse almost ANY disease.

Diet

The foods that you put into your mouth, visibly, can be the single biggest factor in not only controlling your diabetes, but also reversing it as well. Over the last few decades diabetes has taken refuge in more and more households in the United States and is increasingly becoming a larger problem. There is a direct correlation relating diet and disease that most medical professionals refuse to acknowledge for one simple reason:

There is no money in the cure!

Unfortunately, our doctors are merely trained to do two things.

1.) Treat Symptoms/Write Prescriptions

2.) Perform Surgery

We humans have only been eating processed, garbage, chemically altered, lab produced, foods for the past 100 or so years. Our bodies are not made to deal with this abrupt change in diet (as a species), and when the body becomes malnourished like this – it starts to break down.

Exercise

A wise man once said, “We are made for action, and activity is the sovereign remedy for all physical ills.” – Frederick the Great of Prussia

It couldn’t be more accurate. Our bodies are the only machines on the face of this earth that break down, get worn out, and simply start deteriorating through the lack of exercise. This is especially true for aiding in the cure of diabetes. Exercise not only lowers your blood sugar levels, but it also lowers your chance of heart disease – which is common for people who have been unfortunate enough to develop diabetes.

It’s of great consequence to note that this article in no way is a substitute for any workout program, or medical journal. You must always talk to your doctor and a fitness expert on the best way to benefit from your workouts.

You should always be keeping track of your blood sugar levels previous to, during, and after exercising to prevent the possibility of Hypoglycemia.

It is simply amazing what the human body is capable of, solely by consuming the foods that God intended. It is very crucial that we arm ourselves in not only the fight against diabetes, but also the fight against all diseases in general.

by Michael Skatoli

Diabetes is one of the most widespread medical conditions in the western world. However, with the right care and the right equipment it is also one of the easiest to treat.

Diabetes happens when the body fails to convert sugars and other foods into the energy which it needs to function normally. This can cause abnormal sugar concentration in the blood, which can sometimes be dangerous. Diabetes is caused by the body’s inability to produce, or react normally to, the hormone insulin.

A whopping 7.8% of the US’s population suffers from diabetes – that’s well over twenty-three million men, women and children across the nation. In addition, it is believed that almost a quarter of this number are not aware of their condition.

To date, there is no cure for diabetes, but, thankfully, it is easy to treat using medical insulin. A healthy lifestyle is also essential. No smoking, no drinking and a good diet can all help reduce complications caused by diabetes.

It is vital that diabetics regularly check their blood sugar levels with a tool called a glucometer. This is a small device that allows you to monitor the concentration of glucose in your blood and tells you whether your blood sugar levels are high, too low, or in the right range.

Because of their convenient size and portability, glucometers can be used while you are out and about. Testing your blood sugar level with a glucometer involves putting a small sample of blood on a custom made test strip. Your glucometer should return an accurate blood sugar reading in just a few moments and you can act accordingly.

Glucometers most often have a small display that shows the levels of sugar in your blood. In addition, they will record the day and time, and save previous results to help you and your doctor monitor your condition.

The glucometers themselves are not very pricey. In fact, some producers supply them for no cost. The glucometer test strips, however, can be costly. They range in price from about thirty-five cents to $1. Some patients may use over 10 test strips each day, so the costs can quickly mount.

When picking the a glucometer to help you manage your illness there are a a few factors that you should consider. These include:

* How large is the glucometer? * The size of the testing strips * The cost of the glucometer * The price of testing strips * How quickly it returns test results * The quantity of blood required for a test * The unit’s memory and data capacity * The size of the unit’s display

Frequent blood tests with a glucometer aid in the prevention of many of the complications associated with diabetes, like eye, heart and kidney problems. Keeping tabs on the glucose levels in your blood also helps you see how effective your medication is in treating your diabetes, and, most importantly of all, guards against life-threatening emergencies.

Symptoms of elevated blood sugar are very worthy to know for anyone who is a risk for diabetes or diseases connected to blood glucose levels that are out of range. Read this article to learn five notable signs of high blood glucose levels. While all of these symptoms collectively are not telltale signs of diabetes, they can alert you to a potential problem.

Signs of high blood sugar

1) Fatigue Fatigue occurs once your the glucose in your body is not properly being converted to energy. The conclusion is that the loss of energy in your body makes you tired.

2) Increased urination When there is surplus blood glucose in the bloodstream, and the body cannot convert the blood sugar to energy, it is processed through the urinary tract. Increased urination can be a symptom of high blood sugar and is generally a result of the person consuming more fluids due to increased thirst.

3) Vaginal Yeast Infections (in women) Increased glucose levels additionally affects the urinary tract. Not merely is yeast infection a sign of high concentration of blood glucose, someone with high glucose levels in their body is also at danger for urinary tract infections, kidney infections, as well as kidney stones.

4) Increased Thirst This is due to the brain’s response to the surplus sugar. It reacts by making the body thirsty so that the bloodstream can be watered down, resulting in an attempt to lower the blood sugar concentration.

5) Blurred Vision Blurred vision as a result of increased glucose levels can lead to more serious diseases of the eye such as diabetic retinopathy which results from damage to the retinal blood vessels from prolonged periods of elevated blood sugar.

Observe that these symptoms of high blood glucose may or may not occur in any combination. The root cause of these signs is that the surplus glucose in the bloodstream has thickened, resulting in various organs responding to the excess sugar.

Untreated elevated glucose levels (or hyperglycemia can result) can result in the hardening of the arteries due to the excess levels of glucose in the blood which causes destruction to vessels. The longer the signs of high blood sugar go unchecked, the more likely damage that is done to one’s organs (and body). The good news also is that if you are able to get your blood glucose levels under control, you may be able to reverse any adverse affects that prolonged periods of high blood sugar have had on your body.

Diabetes is a growing challenge in this country. With our population at an all time high in weight gain and a low in health care, the dilemma is only growing.

Diabetes is a disease of the metabolism. Our metabolism is the way our bodies use digested food for energy and growth.

Generally food that is processed through our bodies is broken down by digestive juices into a sugar called glucose.Glucose is the fuel our bodies run on.

Whilst we eat, and our food is processed, the pancreas is supposed to create the right amount of glucose from our blood involuntarily and release the right amount of insulin into our blood.

In folks with diabetes, little to no insulin is produced Or the body’s cells don’t respond properly to the insulin that is produced. Therefore the glucose builds up and overflows into the urine and passes out of the body.

This is how the body loses its most important source of fuel even though the bloodstream contains good amounts of the natural glucose.

There are three types of diabetes, type 1, type 2 and Gestational diabetes. folks who have type 1 are identified as insulin-dependent.

This is an autoimmune disease where the body’s natural system is fighting against another part of the body. In the instance of type 1 diabetes, the system attacks the insulin producing cells and destroys them.

Therefore the pancreas can yield little to no insulin. These people are in need of daily injections of insulin to live on. Five to ten percent of diabetes cases are type 1 in the US.
