Foods that Cause Constipation – Avoid Them

Foods that cause constipation have a few things in common, two in particular: they are highly process and are very low in digestive enzymes. Without a change in food habits, chronic constipation may be the result.

What Foods Cause Constipation? Here they are:

* Processed Foods: snacks

* Dairy: Ice cream and cheese

* Foods that are fried

* Foods that contain wheat

* Desserts, which are filled with sugar and processed flour

* Red Meat

* Bananas

* White-flour products

If these are hard to recall, then remember to stay away from foods that are baked, fried, or processed. Many of these foods and products are void of natural enzymes that were taken out or diluted in the process of preparation or cooking. Digestive enzymes are helpful in breaking down the food in your digestive system, making it easier to pass waste through your system.

What Foods are Good for Constipation?

* Enzyme-rich and vitamin-rich fruits and vegetables

* Oranges, Papaya, and Prunes in particular

* Vegetables (steamed or slightly sauteed)

* Fennel, cabbage and spinach

* Cereal (bran)

Also make sure that you drink enough water. People that are constipated are usually dehydrated. In summary, avoid processed, baked, or fried foods and get more fiber rich food choices. If you experience trouble with digesting meat, consume vegetable proteins instead.

So drink lots of water, eat fiber-rich fruits and vegetables, healthy protein and avoid foods that are processed, baked, or fried. Additionally, you need to consider three important aides:

1. A natural colon cleanser

2. A good probiotic for healthy bacteria or flora in your G.I. tract

3. Digestive Enzyme Supplements

So there you have it, now you have to take action to have lasting constipation relief and better overall health.
